This is a reflection on the 1984 state-sanctioned genocide against my Sikh ancestors. A unique terror tactic was commonplace during that time where Sikhs would be tortured and killed by placing burning tyres around them. Almost half a century later, the aftermath of 1984 is still felt across the Sikh community.
