Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a wonderful, no fuss feminist with a sharp legal mind, a strong sense of justice and an awareness of how women are not always respected, acknowledged or championed. She was a trailblazer and independent thinker, and great advocate for women’s rights. Her intellect and commitment to women’s rights will be sorely missed.
She was appointed as an Associate Justice to the US Supreme Court in 1993 and continued for 27 years – until just before her death in 2020 [An associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States is any member of the Supreme Court of the United States other than the Chief Justice of the United States. There are eight (8) Associate Justices].
