As the saying goes: The pen is mightier than the sword.

We’ve opted for the iconic yellow pencil in this work which represents using our written words to speak truth to power.

On a personal level, it’s also about the importance of recording our own lives so future generations aren’t just reading about the rich, famous, and powerful.

Despite great advances in technology and the proliferation of digital platforms to chronicle our daily lives, pen/cil and paper is still one of the most reliable ways of recording and preserving information. Paper can last centuries; but electronic records can be rendered useless through digital obsolescence in as little as 10-20 years if they’re not continually upgraded/migrated to new formats.
